Reach Out

Every young child in the community we serve, no matter who they are, where they come from, or the circumstances which surround them, should have equal access to opportunities and experiences that give them every opportunity in life, like all other children. Yet, some of our children do not have these opportunities. Hearts of Compassion Ministry’s programs will give young children access to opportunities, no matter their economic status is in society.

Give A Hand Up

If something is not going your way, one of the first things you can do is think of all the things you are grateful for. Surely, God has blessed you over and over again. Regardless of your situation, just think of the small blessings you have received and look at how big they become. And if you can’t think of anything right away, just be grateful to be alive.

Transforming Lives

Whether you talk to a friend, family member, or random person in public, it’s surprising how much better you’ll feel when you say something nice to someone. It’ll change their day and keep yours going the right way. Put a smile on someone’s face and transform their life.

Help Support Our Core Programs

Hearts-To-Lawn Services

One of the best ways to help Hearts of Compassion Ministry to carry out its mission is through your charitable donations. Donations are used to help further our mission and goals. Hearts of Compassion Ministry’s “Hearts-To-Lawn Service” is for elderly seniors in Durant, MS. This program is for seniors 60 years of age and older who are considered underserved based on their livelihood. Hearts of Compassion Ministry will mow their lawn for free, as long as the lawn is ½ acre or less, the individual is the property owner, lives in Durant, MS, and has no abled person living with them who can mow their lawn.

Dial-A-Ride Program

Hearts of Compassion Ministry’s “Dial-A-Ride Program” is for elderly seniors in Durant, MS. This program is for seniors 60 years of age and older who are considered underserved based on their living conditions. In this local pickup program, senior citizens are taken to their local doctor’s appointment, pharmacy, grocery store, bus station, and local dollar store. To be eligible the person must be a residence of Durant, MS, 60 years old or older, and doesn’t have any means of transportation at their place of residence.

Hearts-To-Families

Hearts of Compassion Ministry’s Family Resource Services provide help to families in the Holmes County, MS area who lost their home due to a house fire. These services are free to all who qualify. To be eligible, individuals must be a resident of Holmes County and displaced from their residential dwellings because of a fire. Note: apartments, RVs, college dorms, hotels, motels, etc. do not qualify as residential dwellings.
